Hong Kong Observation Wheel & AIA Vitality Park
The Hong Kong Observation Wheel (HKOW) and AIA Vitality Park will generally remain opened in poor weather conditions such as light rain. However, in the interest of public safety, if the Hong Kong Observatory issues weather warning notices, we will respond with special arrangements.
Standby Signal No.1 (T1): Open
Strong Wind Signal No.3 (T3): Closed
- After all related warning signals are lowered, HKOW will reopen after safety checks are completed.
Storm Signal No. 8, No. 9 or No.10 (T8, T9 or T10): Closed
- After all related warning signals are lowered, HKOW will reopen after safety checks are completed.
- If T8, T9 or T10 is lowered after 16:30, HKOW will remain closed for the day.
Amber Rainstorm: Open
Red Rainstorm: Open
Black Rainstorm: Closed
- After all related warning signals are lowered, HKOW will reopen after safety checks are completed.
Wind Speed 15 m/s and above or Lightning within 10km: Closed
- After all related warning signals are lowered, HKOW will reopen after safety checks are completed.
Affected and unused tickets
- Please retain and bring the unused tickets to box office to exchange for new tickets within 3 months starting from the day of the inclement weather.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
Classes and events at the AIA Vitality Park
- Classes and events at the AIA Vitality Park may be cancelled at the discretion of the organisers if the prevailing weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms may endanger public safety.
- HKOW and the event organisers will make the best effort to notify participants via email soonest possible should there be a cancellation or postponement.
AIA Vitality Hub
While we will make every best endeavour to remain open, activities at the AIA Vitality Hub may be cancelled if the prevailing weather conditions may endanger public safety. HKOW and the event organisers will make the best effort to notify participants via email, Instagram @AIAVitalityHub and Facebook @AIAVitalityHub as soonest possible should there be a cancellation or postponement.

- The AIA Vitality Hub will remain open, and all sessions will continue as normal.
Strong Wind Signal No.3 (T3)
- The AIA Vitality Hub will remain open for adult’s sessions and children’s session will be cancelled.
- If T3 Signal is removed before 12:00, children’s sessions from 17:00 will proceed as normal.
- If T3 Signal is removed after 12:00, children’s sessions will be cancelled for the day.
Storm Signal No. 8, No. 9 or No. 10 (T8, T9 or T10)
- The AIA Vitality Hub will be closed, and all session will be cancelled.
- If T8 Signal is removed before 12:00, adult’s sessions from 17:00 will proceed as normal.
- If T8 Signal is removed after 12:00, all sessions will be cancelled for the day.
Amber Rainstorm Signal
- The AIA Vitality Hub will remain open, and all sessions will continue as normal.
Red Rainstorm Signal
- Adult’s sessions will continue as normal.
- Children’s sessions (children aged 6 and below) will be cancelled.
- If the Red Rainstorm Signal is removed before 12:00, children’s sessions (children aged 6 and below) from 17:00 will proceed as normal.
- If the Red Rainstorm Warning is removed after 12:00, all children’s sessions will be cancelled.
Black Rainstorm Signal
- All sessions will be cancelled.
- If the Black Rainstorm Signal is removed before 12:00, adult’s sessions from 17:00 will proceed as normal.
- If the Black Rainstorm Signal is removed after 12:00, all sessions will be cancelled.

- The Customer Care Centre will be closed under Black Storm Warning or Storm Signal No. 8 (T8) and above.
- If the warnings are lowered before 16:30 the Centre will reopen three hours after the warning signal is lowered.
- If the warnings are lowered after 16:30, the Customer Care Centre will only open at 11:00 am the following day.
